Frequently Asked
Questions
Here are answers to some
of our most frequently asked questions.
1. What
are your rates?
Our prices are based on your apartment’s size
(square footage), the number of bathrooms and many other aspects ranging
from laundry requests, appliance cleaning, wall washings
or carpet cleaning – every cleaning is a one of
a kind task, but rest assured they all have the same
outstanding results.
2. Can I
get a maid/housekeeper immediately?
Yes, you can. We can even offer an immediate team cleaning
with our express service. Call now at 646-996-1600.
Ask us about our guaranteed on-time service.
3. How can I get a cleaning
quote?
We can offer you a free telephone estimate. However
if it is a unique situation, then we will gladly give
you a free site inspection. This will allow us to fully
understand all of your cleaning requirements, expectations,
and specifics.
4. What
is the availability of New York Cleaning Service?
We are the only 24-hour service in New York City, so
we may customize a cleaning plan for you. We offer nights,
weekends and holiday cleanings. First-time clients, we
prefer that you initially meet your maid/housekeeper
so that you may better explain all of your needs in
person.
5. Do I
have to do anything before the cleaning?
Not at all. This is why you have hired New York Cleaning Service. "Please let us do the work for you, relax
and enjoy the results".
6. Can I
get a thorough home cleaning?
Our service includes cleaning all baseboards, closet
shelves, lampshades, door knobs, window sills, electronics, and furniture. Bathrooms are sanitized. Kitchen appliances
are fully disinfected with all-purpose cleaners. Bathroom
tiles are checked for mold/mildew, carefully scrubbing
them. Linens can be washed, dried, folded and placed
in its proper area. Wooden floors are cleaned with Murphy
Oil Soap.
7. What
if something is broken or damaged when my home is cleaned?
We hire maids/housekeepers that treat your home like
it's their own. However, if something is accidentally
broken or damaged, we will make every effort to have
it repaired or replaced.
8. Am I
potentially liable for worker's compensation insurance
or taxes?
Please be aware that many independent maids/housekeepers
are not bonded and insured and many of them do not file
state local or federal taxes, nor have worker's compensation.
New York Cleaning Service handles all payroll taxes
for each of its employees.
9. Do I
need to provide my cleaning solvents and equipment?
We can provide all the solvents at an additional cost.
The unique aspect is that all of our solvents and equipment
are brand new, to prevent the possible spread of bacteria, germs, allergic reactions, disease and other situations
caused by reused cleaning equipment.
Mops, brooms, toilet bowl brushes,
etc., and the remaining items are for you to keep as
we never reuse anything. However should you have your
own cleaning items, we will use what you have as instructed
at no additional fee.
10. Do I
have to be home at the time of my cleaning?
Every circumstance is unique. First-time residential
clients who are ordering on a weekly or biweekly basis, we
prefer you to be present at the first-time cleaning
so that you can meet the employee and give him/her
or the cleaning team full instructions on how you prefer
things to be done. Also if the cleaner has questions
or concerns, you are able to point out all of the specifics.
Should there be a situation where
we are scheduled to come to your home, and we are locked
out at the fault of you or your building management,
including doorman/concierge buildings, we must charge
you the full cleaning cost.
11. Do you
provide Sunday, weekend or holiday cleanings?
We are a 24-hour maid service. We can accommodate holiday,
weekend or evening cleanings.
12. What
if I need to cancel or reschedule my cleaning date or
time?
Please notify us within 48 hours in advance if you are
a weekly, biweekly or monthly client. One-time cleaning
clients, move-in or move-out service, and post-construction
cleanings require credit card reservations that are
non-refundable for cancellations.
13. Will
the maid/housekeeper clean my windows?
In most cases, no. However, we will recommend a professional
window cleaner who can come to your premises and give
you a free no-obligation cost to clean them. If you
can provide the dimensions of the windows, including
sizes, heights and width, and the number of windows, we can
give you a general idea of the cost.
14. What
parts of the city does New York Cleaning Service cover?
Unlike other cleaning services here in New York City,
New York Cleaning Service will travel to any part of
the city including the 5 boroughs and the entire
Westchester county. We love all parts of New York, as
our employees are from all over the City, without discrimination.
